this pretty yellow-flowered vine that looks like squash

I scatter so much bird seed, I never know what will come up where; that is the beauty of my strange gardening. It's unpredictable. Things that grow beside each other may not seem like they should, but they do it anyway. It may not be aesthetically pleasing to anyone but me.

And the one constant --- the most beautiful centerpiece and September blessing --- the sunflowers that proliferate each new season. They grow and grow and grow and spread, just green and stretching most of the year until all of a sudden, with autumn around the corner, yellow BURSTS! I could watch them through my living-room window all day long (and do). And oh, how photogenic they are! I'll be posting those blooms soon, I hope.
